Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted in order to examine relation between socialbehaviors of children aged four-five years and behaviors of parents. Population of thestudy included parents and teachers of children aged four-five years who areattending private pre-school training organizations affiliated to central districts ofAnkara province. In order to determine number of parents and teachers to beincluded in the population of the study, Simple Random Sample Method was usedtaking incidence of being seen and sensitivity into consideration. Sample of the studywas consisted of parents of 101 children attending 13 private pre-school trainingorganizations and totally 20 teachers with 7 teachers related to children within agegroup of four years and 13 teachers related to children within age group of four-fiveyears. Relevant data was collected by Behavior Rating Scale, Behavior Self-Assessment Scale for Parents and individual information form.Among data collection tools, Behavior Rating Scale were applied to childrenby their teachers, but Behavior Self-Assessment Scale for Parents and individualinformation form were performed by researcher.Research data was transferred to digital media and they were examinedtogether with demographics about parents, frequencies, and using SPSS 12.0software package. In two-group comparisons, Mann-Whitney test was used amongnon-parametric tests and Kruskal Wallis test was used for three-group comparisons.Inter-variable relations were examined by Sperman correlation analysis. Significancelevel was determined to be 0.05 and it was determined that difference would besignificant in case that p is <0.05 or that difference would be insignificant in casethat p is > 0.05.When findings about social behaviors of children were examined as aconsequence of study;It was found that there was a statistically significant difference betweenschool attendance to pre-school training organization and mean scores obtained fromsocial relations aspects of Behavior Rating Scale (P<0.05).When findings about behaviors of mothers were examined;It was found that there was a statistically significant difference between meanscores obtained from aspect of deprivation from privileges according their agegroups in Behavior Self-Assessment Scale for Parents (P<0.05). It was found thatthere was a statistically significant difference between mean scores obtained fromaspect of Behavior Self-Assessment Scale for Parents considering clemency andattachment aspect as well as deprivation from privileges according to educationstatus (P<0.05).When findings about behaviors of fathers were examined;Considering scores obtained by fathers in several aspects of Behavior Self-Assessment Scale for Parents, there was statistically significant difference betweenmean scores according to age groups as well as in aspect of protection according tohelping to reach aims, level of pressure put on for stable discipline and success(P<0.05). It was found that there was a statistically significant difference betweenmean scores obtained from aspect of Behavior Self-Assessment Scale for Parentsconsidering protection field according to education status (P<0.05)When the findings of the relations between the social behaviors of childrenand behaviors of parents are observed; there is a linear connection with the samedirection between the dimensions of the clarity of standarts of fathers EKDDÖ andchildrens DDÖ?s social relations dimensions pointIn accordance with the conclusion of the study, to parents;develop themselvescontinually and be open to education; to educators; share both their academicknowledge and information about the requirements and development of the child viameeting and specific interviews, to researchers who are going to study in this topic;study with a large sample group in different cities and investigate the relationshipbetween other developmental features of 4-5 year old children and parentalbehaviours are adviced
