Abstract (EN)
Luminescence spectrum analysis of materials with passive dosimetric properties produced for use in radiation measurements is crucial. Generate information to study the effect of Rare Earth Elements (REE) and transition metals doped as impurities in BeO, MgO, Al2O3, and MgB4O7 host materials on the luminescence spectrum was examined. We measured the radioluminescence spectrum of the materials excited with X-rays at room temperature with the QE-Pro spectrometer. For each sample, during the linear temperature increase while X-ray irradiated, radioluminescence-thermoluminescence spectrum measurements were made between 500C and 4000C with a high-resolution speed camera. After exposing to radiation each sample with X-rays for 10 minutes, thermoluminescence spectrum measurements were made between 500C and 4000C during the linear temperature increase. In analysing the luminescence spectrum measurements taken, we examined the effect and contribution of the impurities and established luminescence mechanisms. Dy3+, Gd3+, and Pr3+ characteristic radiative transitions of rare earth ions found as impurities in the materials used were determined and observed that they radiated independently of the host material. It was tried to determine the contribution of the crystal defects of the oxygen vacancies formed by the charge balance caused by the displacement of the transition metals with the ion in the host material to the emission spectrum. Luminescence mechanisms due to impurities and defects were determined for each material.
