Abstract (EN)
When the art movements started from the beginning of visual arts to the present day are examined, even though their sizes and aspects differ, it is observed that they are all interrelated. At present, the reduction in creative graphic designs built on creative intellectual basis negatively affects the graphic design field, which is a branch of visual arts. Due to the fact that graphic design is a versatile field, loss of quality in this field not only has negative effects in the artistic sense, but it also affects the culture negatively in many different aspects such as communication, education, advertisement, consumption and social responsibility. For this reason, it is crucial that the importance of intellectuality in graphic design field should be emphasized with an innovative perspective associating it with different artistic approaches. In this context, the main purpose of this study is to concretely present the aspects and dimensions of the relationship between conceptual art and graphic design, to strengthen the intellectual foundations of the works created in the field of graphic design and to concrete this relationship in order to raise awareness on the subject. In line with this purpose, the reason for selecting conceptual art among many art movements in the history of art is that; it is the art movement which has positioned formalism after intellectuality with the clearest approach since the beginning of the visual arts. In this study, the relationship between graphic design and conceptual art has been determined in intellectual and formal sense and in the methodology section artistic perspective and graphic design materials are presented. These designs, in which the multidimensional relationship between these two different branches of art is handled both intellectually and formally, also function as a bridge between these art disciplines and have the quality of hybrid design. The fact that there is a close and multidimensional relationship between graphic design and conceptual art, which is concretized with artistic works, makes it obvious that the works created on the relationship between art movements and different visual art disciplines have positive effects on both artistic and cultural development in addition to emphasizing intellectuality in graphic design field.
