Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the role of early maladaptive schemas on the relationship between difficulties in emotion regulation, depression and orthorexia nervosa. The questionnaires used in the present study are Young Schema Scale (YSQ-S3), Emotion Regulation Scale, Beck Depression Scale and Ortho-15 Scale. The scales used were applied to 235 adults between the ages of 18 and 65 in 2016. The data obtained from the scales were first examined via several correlation analyses. The subscales of Orthorexia nervosa had a significant relationship between the emotional orthorexia and the impaired limits/exaggerated stanards domain of the early amaldaptive schemas. There was also a significant correlation between demographic variables and orthorexia. Later on, a t-test was made between gender and subscale of orthorexia nervosa. Three hierarchical multiple regression analyses were performed in order to identfy the predictores of early maladaptive schemas, orthorexia nervosa and depression.
