Emotional intelligence appears in every aspect of an individual's life. This type of intelligence that is effective in directing human mind is also very important in business life. Besides, the individual is stressed in his life and work life. This problem, also referred to as organizational stress in business life, poses a great threat to employees and businesses. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational stress in hospital workers. In this study, firstly the concepts of emotional intelligence and organizational stress are emphasized and then the relation between these concepts is examined. The "coping with stress style scale" prepared by Şahin and Durak (1995) are used to measure the organizational stresses of the hospital employees (n = 147). Emotional Intelligence Scale, which was developed by Petrides and Furnham (2001) and adapted to Turkish by Deniz and friends (2013), was used in the measurement of emotional intelligence of hospital workers (n = 147). As a result of the research, it has been determined that there is a positive but weak (r=0.455) relationship between organizational stress and emotional intelligence.
