Ebu Bekir Nusret's commentaries of Saib-i Tabrizi's Some Gazels (T Letter) Study-comparative text-glossary

Sâib-i Tebrizî is a very productive poet who made significant contributions to the spread of the Persian language beyond the geographical borders of Iran. Sâib, who expresses religious, mystical, social and moral issues through poetry in his works, is one of the most famous poets of Sebk-i Hindî. Saib, who is considered to be one of the most difficult to understand artists of Persian poetry along with Bîdil, has an artistic taste in his poems that very few poets have, so commentary is needed to understand his poetry. Ebû Bekir Nusret says that although commentaries have been written many times on the divans of Iranian poets, no one has attempted to comment on Sâib's Dîvân, and to fill this gap, he writes three works on Sâib's ghazals. Nusret Efendi, who first commented on the ghazals with the letter alif and then the ghazals with the letter te, also wrote another comment by choosing a few ghazals from each rhyme. The subject of our study is the work written by Ebû Bekir Nusret on the ghazals, which he annotated from Sâib-i Tebrizî. 194 ghazals of Sâib-i Tebrizî are annotated in the work. The aim of this study is to enable a better understanding of Sâib-i Tebrizî's poems and therefore Sebk-i Hindî texts as a result of examining the annotated poems and preparing the text, and to contribute to the text commentary studies of classical Turkish literature. However, in our study, it is aimed to make it easier for today's literary researchers to work on this subject by translating Persian couplets into modern Turkish. In the study, first of all, information was given about the life, literary personality and works of Ebû Bekir Nusret, and the life, literary personality and works of Sâib-i Tebrizî were discussed. Later, the work commented on by Ebû Bekir Nusret from Sâib-i Tebrizî was examined in various aspects and the critical text of the work was included. At the end of the study, a dictionary consisting of the words interpreted by the commentator in the text is included. Ebû Bekir Nusret gave the meanings of the ghazals of Sâib-i Tebrizî, which is an instructive work with a predominant Sufi aspect, and dealt with literary arts together with the subtleties of language, and the work gained the quality of guidance for both those who know Persian and those who are learning Persian.
