Abstract (EN)
This study investigates the effect of export intensity on the financial performance of firms. The analysis employed data from 208 exporting firms in the manufacturing sector listed on Borsa Istanbul during the period 2005-2019. The dependent variable, financial performance, was measured using operating profit. The main independent variable is export intensity. Through panel data regression analysis, the study found that export activities have a statistically significant and positive impact on financial performance. However, higher debt levels have a statistically significant negative effect on performance. Firm size and age exhibit positive but statistically insignificant effects.
