Abstract (EN)

Organizational culture is one of the critical elements, which determines an organization's qualities and performance, and multiple factors, from organizations management types to sales strategies. Behaviour and management in organizational context are shaped around organizational culture. Concept of innovation is becoming more critical day by day for marketing and trade in general. According to the Global Competitive Index (CSI, 2018), Turkey's innovation capacity is lagging behind the other competing countries. This research deeply investigates organizational culture and innovation concept, examining companies' organizational culture using Denison Organizational Culture and Innovation Survey in order to understand the reasons behind the Turkeys' lack of innovation. This survey is specifically conducted in organizations that operate in the pharmaceutical sector in Turkey. Before being applied to organizations, Denison Organizational Culture and Innovation Survey is adapted to Turkey. According to the Denison Organizational Culture Survey, four main dimensions are analyzed, and correlation analysis is carried out for this study. The population of the study is 249 Pharma firms in Turkey. The research sample is medium and large-scale firms that have at least 15 medicinal products on the market (n=126 firms) and conducted in 46 of them via online surveys. According to the findings of the research organizational culture and innovation have positive relationship for all the four dimensions, consistency, adaptability, mission and involvement.
