Educable tendencies- an approach from Quran's perspective

This thesis is a conceptual study aimed at assessing whether some of the tendencies we have chosen as psychological human tendencies in the Qur'an can be educable. It is aimed to evaluate some tendencies by taking the human characteristics exit point as defined in the Qur'an. In order to understand trends, firstly we need to identify some concepts to determine their relationship with tendencies. A conceptual analysis study was conducted on the words that constitute the basis of the first part. The concepts of 'education' and 'tendency' have been extensively analysed in light of the literature that has been cited in various perspectives, both in Religion Psychology and Religious Education literature. Meanwhile, for the concept of 'educatable' has been proposed a new definition. In addition, 'educatable' has been studied in three levels of 'mind', 'heart' and 'nafs', which are the three basic concepts that the Qur'an uses for man. Through the Qur'an's view of human psychology and tendencies, it has been tried to evaluate whether some of the tendencies of human beings can be educated with the classification based on the first chapter. This study has the characteristic of interdisciplinary study between Tafseer, Religious Education and Religious Psychology branches. Key words: Education, Educable, Tendency, Holy Qur'an
