Abstract (EN)

Since the de cisions which are taken by the Ministry of Education areconcerned by all of the institutions , organizations and members, they havethe value of being the investments which are done for the future. As a result,the only way to take the right decisions and to increase the proportion of theproductivity is educational planning. This system provides the studies to beplanned, programmed, fast and active. In the planning studies, for theanalysis of thousands of datum, there is a need of an active informationsystem of which the visual specialties are dominant. Geographic InformationSystems which is applied by the Ministry of Education in the educationalstudies, that will be done in the future , can increase the output. In this study,by applying Geographic Information Systems an information system whichincludes the information of 2004-2005, apart from institutional angeographic information, taken by the management of the Ministry ofEducation?s schools that provide face to face education in the boundaries ofEskisehir is formed. By the help of the statistical analysis, the successes of theschools are compared. According to this, by doing Geographic InformationSystems queries, the education maps are formed and the existing situation isvisualized.Keywords: Educational Planning, Geographic Information Systems,Ministry of Education
