Abstract (EN)

This research; Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Agriculture Agricultural Research Center was carried out in the 2018-2019 growing season under the conditions of the trial field. In the experiment, it was aimed to determine the effects of four different sowing densities (350, 450, 550 and 600 seeds/m²) on yield, yield components, quality and some physiological characteristics of two bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars (Pehlivan, Golia). While the number of spikes per m2, the number and weight of grains per spike, 1000 grain weight and grain yield increased up to a certain seed density, there was a decrease in the later frequency. The spike length was not affected by the seed density. While the highest grain yield was obtained from the application of 550 seeds/m2 seed density in Golia variety, the lowest seed yield was obtained from Pehlivan variety with 450 seed/m2 seed density. There was no difference in light holding, light holding efficiency, flag leaf chlorophyll content (spad) and flag leaf area characteristics depending on the seed density, only the cultivars differed in terms of flag leaf chlorophyll content. In this study carried out in Bursa conditions, the relationships between light utilization efficiency and yield were compared in bread (Triticum aestivum L.) wheat varieties. In the examined wheat cultivars, negative and insignificant correlations were found between grain yield and light attitude, positive and significant relationship with light attitude effectiveness, positive and insignificant relationship between flag leaf chlorophyll content (spad), negative but significant relationship with flag leaf area.
