Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this theoretical study is to investigate the effects of profile shape on extrusion strength and extrudability in extrusion process, which is one of the chipless forming methods. In this study, firstly, extrusion methods are emphasized and these methods are explained. Extrusion sets are mentioned and the extrudability of metals is emphasized. The important part of the research, the effects of profile shape on extrusion force in extrusion applications have been extensively studied. The relationship between profile shape and extrusion force and extrusion speed is emphasized. It has been tried to determine how the extrusion force is affected by the profile shape.
