Translation of al-Arbaun al- Ajlouniah's text, evaluation of hearsays

Ajlouni, who lived between 1676-1748, is an eminent Islamic scholar in the field of tafsir, hadith and fiqh (Islamic law) with great moral virtues. Ajlouni took very important works especially on the field of hadith and composed worthy works. His book which is also known as al-Arbaun al-Ajlouniah, is one of the important works in hadith literature. Forty hadith compiled based on separate sources, at the same time this masterpiece of a pioneer among the books of hadith are mentioned. The main topic of our thesis is translation of al-Arbaun al-Ajlouniah's text, evaluation and revelation of mentioned hadiths. This study consists of an introductory section and three main chapters. Explanations about theme, purpose and method of this study are given in the introductory section. In the first section, Ajlouni's life, teachers, students and their works are discussed. Al-Arbaun al-Ajlouniah's role in the hadith literature and studies on this book are discussed in the second chapter. And in the final chapter, with the translation of al-Arbaun al-Ajlouniah's text, revelation and evaluation of hadiths are studied.
