An examination of al-Ezhari's work called Meʿâni'l-Kirâʾât in terms of proof of the qiraats

This study aims to determine the way of thinking of qiraat in the Kitāb al-Maānī al-Kırāāāt of al-Azharī, one of the scholars of Qiraat and language of the III/IVth century, and to determine the methods of ihticac in the proof of qiraat. In the study, which examines the relationship between qiraat and linguistics (sarf-nahiv), qiraat and syllabary, qiraat and rhetoric, qiraat and rhetoric, and qiraat and Arabic poetry in terms of the relationship of the qiraat mentioned by al-Azharī in his work with the Arabic language, first of all, al-Azharī's life and scholarly personality were emphasised. In terms of its main theme, the study focuses on al-Azharī's position in the science of Qira'ah, the sources he used in the ihticac of the Qira'ahs and the way he conveyed the Qira'ahs. In addition, al-Azharī's appreciation of the meanings arising from the differences of the qiraat and how he used the qiraat within the framework of the transmitted huccats, which are primarily philological, Arabic poetry and dialectal, have been examined by comparing them with other qiraat sources that are contemporaries and written in the same style.
