Investigation of the effects of electricity failures, lighting and consumption on urban geographical information systems: Uşak province

Geographical Information Systems are being used effectively in many fields today. In electricity distribution companies, GIS is used as a system in which inventory records of the Electricity Network are kept, and where electrical results can be monitored, inquiries and analyzes can be reported. It aims to assist the departments of decision-making about the areas where maintenance and repair works will be carried out and where they should be included in the scope of the investment by analyzing the failures of the electricity network in the city within a certain period of time. The aim of this course is to analyze the lighting of the city and to provide information about its effects on the city. In addition, the city's annual electricity consumption maps are created to help decisionmakers in the city's electricity needs. The connection model of the entire distribution network within the scope of the Distribution Company's responsibility is established on GIS. In case of interruptions in the electricity network, customers can make faster returns. In addition, thanks to this system the failure points which cause the interruption can be detected quickly, and the results of the interruption can be monitored visually on a map-based basis. In this way, it will be easier to get precautions against the negative effects that may affect the city life. In addition, the effects of electricity on the city and solutions to problems will be provided. The aim of this thesis is to help authorities about the areas which maintenance and repairment works will be carried out by making intensity analyzes of the failures of the electricity network in the city within a certain period. Also, to provide information about the effects of the city by analyzing the lighting and effects of the city. It aims to assist decisionmakers in the electricity needs of the city by creating electricity consumption maps between years.
