Abstract (EN)

Climate change, which has been affecting the world in recent years, poses a threat to living species. Especially the carbon emission emitted from internal combustion engine vehicles negatively affects the nature and the health of living creatures. So much so that if no measures are taken, bad days await the whole world due to environmental pollution. In order to reduce the greenhouse gas effect, cooperation has been established by the governments and some measures are taken thanks to the protocols made. As a result of the agreements made, the use of renewable energy resources such as solar, wind, hydrogen and waves is encouraged and care is taken to increase the use of these resources. Governments are also trying to expand the use of these environmentally friendly vehicles by stopping the production of conventional internal combustion vehicles by 2030 and increasing the production of electric vehicles running on renewable energy. Various studies are carried out for this purpose. In this thesis, a model was created by supplying the daily working hours and information of the vehicles on the Istanbul Avcılar-Söğütlüçeşme metrobus line in order to encourage the use of electric metrobus serving in the service sector, especially in metropolitan cities, in order to reduce the use of internal combustion engine vehicles. In the thesis study, a GES system was installed in order not to burden the city electricity grid for the energy required to charge the electric metrobuses at the station, and the electrical energy required for the metrobuses was provided. Thanks to the SES created through a simulation program, the cost of electrical energy has been reduced. In addition, when necessary, excess energy produced can be sold to the grid. Considering that all vehicles will turn into electric vehicles in the near future, the energy purchased from the city networks will decrease in line with the electrical energy produced by the SES installed in the metrobus garage, especially of the electric metrobuses serving in the service sector.
