Abstract (EN)

In this study, which examines the transition from fossil fuel usage to electric usage in the automotive sector, a descriptive survey model, a qualitative research method, was employed. The Environmental-Friendly Car Purchase Attitude Scale, developed by Selçuk and Acar (2017), was utilized as the measurement tool. The study's population consisted of individuals aged 18 and over residing in Samsun province, while the sample group comprised 388 individuals selected through convenience sampling method. As a result of the conducted analyses, a significant difference was observed only between participants' genders and the sub-dimension related to the attitude towards environmentallyfriendly cars. However, with respect to age and monthly income level variables, a significant difference was found in all sub-dimensions and the overall scale score. Furthermore, concerning education level, there was no significant difference detected except for the subdimension related to the attitude towards environmentally-friendly cars. These findings shed light on how various demographic factors (gender, age, monthly income level, education level) influence participants' attitudes towards environmentally-friendly cars. Such insights can be instrumental in formulating effective marketing strategies and product development approaches in the automotive sector, tailored to the characteristics of specific demographic groups.
