Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, 65" OLED TV design of which reliability level increased within the scope of needs and expectations of TV industry has been studied and academic and scientific solution recommendations are offered. Despite the risk of fire that will be caused especially by electro-optic devices as a result of malfunctions, the development of flame resistant materials is aimed. OLED displays - new generation display technology - have some important advantages such as low power consumption, being slim and light, self-emissive, wide viewing angle, high contrast ratio, fast pixel response time, flexible display etc. Nowadays, OLED displays began to be preferable due to the fact that they provide advantages in so many products in consumer electronics, mobile telecommunication, military applications and medical sectors. On the other hand, in order to substitute present LCD displays with OLED displays, the cost is required to be reduced by solving technical, manufacturing and reliability problems of OLED displays. Small size OLED displays has begun to be used in smart phones, however there are still quality problems in large size OLED display applications. As the solution seeking to existing large size OLED technical problems proceeds, LCD displays that are developed by advanced materials such as Quantum Dot become alternative to OLED displays. According to product specifications, position of electronic cards and power card design are performed properly to reliability standards. Thermal, reliability and electromagnetic tests and simulations are carried out at card and system level. Acquired laboratory data is used in mean life analysis. There occurs image sticking problem due to the fact that static image stands so long time in OLED TV displays. The reasons of image sticking quality problem have studied and alternative solutions are offered. Flame proof plastic materials are analyzed against to risk of fire that can occur due to fine structure of design by definition and possible fault condition. Nanocomposite based plastic material synthesis and characterization is performed cost effectively in accordance with environmental standards. Produced nanomaterial was applied to plastics and flame retardant tests were performed.
