The effect of industry 4.0 and sustainable supply chain practices on logistics processes

The aim of this study is to analyse the effects of industry 4.0 and sustainable supply chain practices on logistics processes. In this context, the issues to be investigated in this context are "what advantages do industry 4.0 and sustainable supply chain practices provide to businesses? What can be done to maximise the sustainable supply chain practices of enterprises in the competitive environment? What are the factors affecting the sustainability of sustainable supply chain practices? What can be done for Industry 4.0 technologies to increase sustainable supply chain practices and sustainability of organisations?" In Industry 4.0 and sustainable supply chain activities, statistical analyses based on the data obtained from the questionnaires on what advantages the success of logistics enterprises in the competition in the market can provide to the enterprise, what benefits it can provide to employees, enterprises and the national economy are presented for the benefit of those concerned. The population of this research is 500 logistics companies operating in Istanbul and the sample is 462 people. The scales used in obtaining the data of the research are; "Sustainable Supply Chain Practices Scale" and "Industry 4.0 Conceptual Awareness Scale". "Reliability analysis", "frequency analysis", "regression analysis" and "anova analysis" were applied to the data from the questionnaires in SPSS 21 programme. As a result of the analyses, it was determined that "Industry 4.0" positively affects "Social Sustainability" by 52.6%, "Industry 4.0" positively affects "Environmental Sustainability" by 73.7% and "Industry 4.0" positively affects Economic Sustainability by 75.6%.
