Abstract (EN)

The material technolgoy behind the energy storage systems can not develop as fast as the technology of electroncs. The main reason behind is the limited number of materials that can be used in energy storage systems. In this respect reasearchers have been searching for alternative materials. In this thesis, materials have been designed for use in energy storage systems. In the first part of this thesis, a pseudocapacitor consisting of a nickel-based electrode was produced. Nickel-based coating was obtained on various current collectors both in ionic liquid electrolyte and in aqueous medium. The electroactivity of the modified electrodes was tested in different electrolyte environments (acid, alkaline, neutral and ionic liquid). In the second part of the thesis, a conductive polymer-based electrode for supercapacitor applications was fabricated. A tape was attached to a graphite layer and then peeled off from the surface. A non-conductive tape became conductive with a graphite layer. In this way, a straightforward, inexpensive and environmentally friendly electrode was built. The specific capacitance of the nickel and polypyrrole electrodes in the ionic liquid electrolyte medium was 986 and 535 F g-1, respectively.
