Abstract (EN)

Agriculture, which has existed alongside human history, undoubtedly occupies a fundamental place in our lives. It is crucial for the survival of humanity. On the other hand, with the development of technology, the importance of energy is also increasing. Especially since the 2000s, the demand for energy has been rising exponentially. This study examines the relationship between energy and agriculture using data from across Turkey as well as some regional data. In recent years, due to the significant diversity of agricultural products, it is known that cereals are the predominant crop cultivated in almost all regions of Turkey. Farmers typically utilize tractors for cereal production. In addition to the diesel consumed by tractors, diesel is also used for irrigation, which is necessary for agricultural production, and electricity is utilized as well. At this point, the available installed power sources for electricity production in Turkey are of great importance. In summary, this study addresses the types of energy used in agricultural activities in Turkey, the quantities of energy consumed, and how the energy used affects agricultural product yield (output).
