Abstract (EN)
Energy is great importance in terms of maintaining the sustainability of life activities for all creatures, especially humans. All daily and vital activities of living things require energy input particularly solar energy usage for photosynthesis and chemical energy usage for transformation of nutrients. Energy requests that brought by technology, population growth, urbanization and industrialization have accelerated the increase in demand for energy. This increasing of energy demand, continues to increase the economic and social effects caused by energy consumption. In this study, economic and social effects of energy consumption are discussed in detail. In the energy economy which continues to grow day by day all the impacts arising from energy consumption including foreign dependence, global warming climate changes and health problems caused by thermal power plants have been evaluated. With this study, it is aimed to detailed the effects caused by energy consumption and to examine the methods that can be used in carrying out the activities for the results of the effects. Short and long-term reflections of economic and social impacts caused by energy consumption will be an important step to prevent problems that can be in the future.
