Abstract (EN)
CO2 emissions reduction is one of the steps to be taken against the negative effects of climate change. The important causes of CO2 emissions are transportation, industry, and electricity generation. In this study, the energy mix that will minimize the CO2 emission resulting from electricity generation is quantitatively predicted. Two different methods are used in the study. In scenario analysis method, Business as Usual Scenario, Renewable Energy Scenario and Renewable Nuclear Energy Scenario are created. The results of the scenarios are evaluated in terms of energy mix and CO2 emissions. Another method is estimating the electricity production amounts of primary energy sources with the deep learning method. The objective function to minimize the CO2 emission is created. The amount of CO2 emissions realized because of the optimal energy mixture that fulfills the objective function has been calculated weekly until 2030. According to these values, it is predicted that the increase in the amount of CO2 emissions will continue.
