Abstract (EN)
Detection and imaging of an object or a target by remote sensing has always attracted and occupied people for decades. It is clear that no method or technique puts into a comprehensive solution, although several methods and techniques have beendeveloped until now. Seismic, electromagnetic induction, infrared and electromagnetic propagation are the techniques that are the most prominent and useful for now. Through-wall imaging radar technology draws considerable interest and for comprehensive solution among these techniques. Through-wall imaging is a radar technique that detects and images a target behind an obstacle by processing thereceived reflections of propagated high frequency electromagnetic signals. In this research, the radar literature was reviewed, and the systems developed by other universities and companies were examined. In the end, a calibrated ultra wide band step frequency continuous wave radar prototype was developed after the design of the system, and the results of the experimental tests were presented. The system operates between 750MHz and 6GHz and can image through wall and ground by SAR scanning. The system provides an easy configuration and real time monitoring by user-friendly interface developed in MATLAB, and enables the testing of new developed algorithms on it.
