Abstract (EN)

In this research, it is aimed to contribute to the field literature about holistic results by examining the relationship between digital game addiction, emotion regulation ability and perceived level of social support of adolescent individuals. Within the scope of the research, analysis was carried out with 383 participants. Of the participants participating in the study, 184 of them are women, 195 of them are men, and 4 of them are participants who do not want to specify. In order to obtain the necessary data from the research group; "Perceived Social Support Scale Revision (PSSS-R)", "Digital Game Addiction Scale (DGSA)", "Adaptation of the Regulation of Emotions Questionnaire for Adolescents (REQ)" and the "Personal Data Form" prepared by the researcher were used. The data collected within the scope of the study were obtained and Deciphered using the SPSS-25 program for the analysis of the data between the scale scores of the statistical program for social sciences. When the study data were examined, a significant positive relationship was found between digital game addiction scores and the severity of emotion regulation difficulties. Accordingly, it has been found that as digital game addiction scores increase, the severity of emotion regulation difficulties will increase. It has been found that individuals with high digital game addiction scores will experience more emotion regulation difficulties than individuals with low digital game addiction scores. Moreover, there is a significant negative correlation between the scores of digital game addiction and the total scores of the perceived social support scale. As the perceived social support score increases, the digital game addiction score will decrease. However, as the perceived social support score decreases, the digital game addiction score will increase. As a result, it has been observed that the severity of emotion regulation difficulties increases as digital game addiction scores increase.
