The analysis of teacher opinions on the ability to solve conflict in the early childhood and the study of validity and reliability of the conflict solving scale

The main goal of the research is to determine the views of pre-cshool teachers and to develop ?The Scale of The Conflict Resolution Skill? based on those determined views. To do that, the views of the pre-school teachers affiliated to Ministry of National Education in İstanbul boroughts of Besiktas, Sisli, Bakırkoy, Kadıkoy, Umraniye and Canakkale center and boroughs have been taken during spring-summer semesters in the academic year 2007-2008. The study of validity reliablity of ?The Scale of The Conflict Resolution Skill? has been completed assessing data obtained and with pre-school students receiving education in Zübeyde Hanım Kindergarten affiliated to Canakkale during spring semester in the academic year 2007-2008.Teachers survey sheets have been sent to the members of the university studying on pre-school education in different universities and rearranged. For structure validity, the reliabilty co-efficient has been calculated being applied to the groups falling outside of the research sampling. 729 sheets of the applied survey have been assessed.Collected data has been analysed by frequency and percentage calculations. According to the variables of the associations that the teachers have been affiliated to, gender, age, educational status, length of service in profession, and the age group that they give education to, it has been tested if there is a meaninful difference between the people or associations that they can cooperate with in order to make a change in accordance with the activities in which they give a place to the concepts of conflict in their programmes and the concept of conflict.?The Scale of The Conflict Resolution Skill? has been sent to the members of the university studying on pre-school education in different universities and rearranged. The scale is applied to 162 pre-school students receiving education in Zübeyde Hanım Kindergarten in center of the Canakkale.It is suggested in the research that a program should be develop that contains activitiesrelated to the abilities to solve conflict, which is the next phase of the study and planned to be developed as the study is the first in the literature and limited in some ways.
