This research endeavors to deal with a very important issue related to the famous Iraqi poet Ma'ruf al-Rusafi. The research methodology used to study him is historical, descriptive and analytical, and consists of three parts. In the first part, the poet's life and the period in which he lived were analyzed from political, literary and philosophical perspectives. In the second part, we analyzed al-Rusafi's poetry in three parts: in the first part, the themes in al-Rusafi's collection of poems, in the second part, al-Rusafi's poems on social issues, and in the third part, we analyzed the most important issues in al-Rusafi's poetry under three subheadings: social, political, and the main phenomena that stand out in al-Rusafi's poetry. Under this heading, we have touched upon poetic structure and rhythm, the influence of Ma'ruf al-Rusafi's poetry on the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah, and the language of al-Rusafi's poetry. In the third chapter, we discussed the manifestations of artistic images in Rusafi's poetry. This chapter consists of four subheadings: The first sub-heading deals with poetic structure, the second with Rusafi's poetic language, the third with Rusafi's understanding of poetry and poetry, and the fourth with the influence of the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah on Rusafi's poetry. The fifth sub-heading focuses on word choice and its aesthetic effect on the literary text, and the sixth sub-heading on artistic imagery. In the seventh sub-heading, the artistic aspects and artistic features of al-Rusafi's poems are analyzed under three main themes: formal demands, innovative imagery, innovative tibak and pun. In the eighth chapter, we analyzed the poem titled "al-Armalatu al-Murdi'atu." This chapter was analyzed under three subheadings: Thematic analysis of the poem in the first subheading, artistic analysis of the poem in the second subheading and rhythmic analysis of the poem in the third subheading. This is followed by a conclusion with the results and findings of our study.
