Abstract (EN)
The use of aluminum has increased in aircraft, automotive, medical and many other sectors since 1970. With the increase in usage of aluminum in our life, more studies have been conducted on it. These studies intended to increase the durability of aluminum by reducing its atomic structure. Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP) has also been emphasized in order to complete this insufficiency. In this study, Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP) method and molds made up to this time were investigated. By looking at the problems in the ECAP molds and the problems of the mold, problems caused by cold pressing, designed to eliminate time lost and other troubles. CNC turning and milling, Contrary to flat and cylindrical metal grindings and heat treatment, the production of the mold is different to the day-to-day construction. The design of the passing mold was made for 360° compression of the mold by interlocking the core and the outer mold with a certain inclination. At the same time, the four pieces of the core mold complement each other, allowing the mold to form a material path of 90°. To increase the resistance of the mold, 2344 manufacturing steel was used as the core mold material and 24-hour heat treatment was applied. The outer mold used in the mold is made to be a single piece of mold during pressing by squeezing the auxiliary parts on the core surface with a reverse angle of 5°. The top and bottom covers of the mold are made to resist any adverse effects that may occur during squeezing and removal of the core mold. The ejection pins and apparatus help to forcefully release the mold which is pressed under a heavy force. In this study, we tried a new design pattern firstly with silly putty which gave good results. Later it was tried using 6063 Aluminum alloys, with a 2-mm advance per minute. Printing with aluminum proceeded in rapid succession with a progress of 10-mm per minute when the first printing was not troublesome. As a result; In the 6063 aluminum material, the wear resistance values of the samples obtained by the ECAP method increased with each increasing number of transition.
