Abstract (EN)

In this study, the predictive role of perceived social support from the partner, dyadic adjustment and work-family conflict on women's depression during the Covid-19 was examined using quantitative and qualitative research methods. A survey was conducted with 265 mothers who have children between the ages of 2-8 and have partners, and 20 mothers were interviewed. In the quantitative study, the Informed Consent Form, Sociodemographic Information Form, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, Dyadic Adjustment Scale, Work-Family Conflict Scale and Brief Symptom Inventory's depression sub-dimension were applied to the participants. In the qualitative study, interviews were conducted using a structured questionnaire. As a result of the analyses, perceived social support from the partner negatively predicted women's depression; dyadic adjustment negatively predicted women's depression; work-family conflict predicted women's depression positively. It has been observed that dyadic satisfaction, which is one of the sub-dimensions of dyadic adjustment, had a protective role in the relationship between work-family conflict and depression. Women with high dyadic satisfaction had low depression scores even if they had high levels of work-family conflict. As a result of the qualitative analyzes, it was determined that the mothers who perceived social support from their partner because they worked said positive statements in their relationship definitions. In the Covid-19 pandemic, mothers were most affected financially, morally, educationally and in children's issues.
