Evalution of the employment i̇mpacts of public i̇ncentive policies on the accommodation sector Konya example

This study examines public incentives for the tourism sector in Türkiye and evaluates the direction of tourism investments in Konya and in particular and how they should be planned in the future. The tourism sector has a structure of activities that addresses the financial development and development processes of countries in a multifaceted manner. In this context, incentives provided and implemented by the public play a critical role in encouraging investments, increasing production, and strengthening the local economy. Within the scope of our research, the frameworks of tourism incentives, tourism incentive policies implemented in our country, legislation, and regulations were tried to be discussed in detail. In addition, regional tourism investments and public supports for these investments were investigated through the example of Konya province. In our study, the effectiveness of incentives was evaluated in the light of the data obtained from interviews with tourism enterprises, local governments and relevant institutions operating in Konya, their problems and solution suggestions were evaluated and suggestions were put forward for shaping future investments. According to the results of our research, it is seen that public incentives have an increasing effect on investments in the tourism sector in Konya province, but there are various restrictions such as bureaucratic studies, access to incentives and legislative confusion. In addition, it has been determined that the support of regional development agencies and local governments has made significant contributions to the tourism sector. This study will serve as an enlightening roadmap for ensuring the contribution of tourism incentives strategy to development and making current incentive policies more effective and efficient.
