When the results obtained are examined; It is seen that the variables of marital satisfaction and self-disclosure to the spouse differ significantly according to age, working status, duration of marriage and whether or not they have children. Acceptance of external influence, one of the sub-dimensions of the originality variable, varies according to gender and working status. From the results obtained, it is seen that the authentic life sub-dimension differs according to gender, and the self-alienation sub-dimension differs according to working status. While self-disclosure to the spouse and authentic living significantly and positively predict marital satisfaction, accepting external influence and self-alienation predict marital satisfaction significantly and negatively. As a result of the research; It was observed that the sub-dimension of accepting external influence did not have a mediating effect in the relationship between self-disclosure to spouse and marital satisfaction in married individuals. The sub-dimensions of self-alienation and authentic living have a mediating effect between the two variables. It can be said that authenticity is an effective variable in the relationship between self-disclosure to the spouse and marital satisfaction.
