According to Evliya Celebi, the biography of Melek Ahmet Pasha

The idea of being a traveler attributed to him by the work of Evliya Çelebi is inadequate definition to define him. Evliya Çelebi is, of course, a traveler, but he is also an unusual historian. He is also a war correspondent, sociologist and narrator. In this study, the biography of Melek Ahmet Pasha is going to be examined, he is one of the grand viziers of IV. Mehmet, he is frequently cited in Seyahatname. Evliya Çelebi's narratives about Melek Ahmet Paşa will be considered by comparing with the Ottoman sources of that period. Evliya Çelebi gave detailed information about Melek Ahmet Pasha's life, his political activities and his personality in his travelogue because Melek Ahmet Pasha is both his relative, his close friend and his boss. The objective of this thesis titled "According to Evliya Çelebi, The Biography of Melek Ahmet Pasha" is to construct the biography of Melek Ahmet Pasha who lived in the 17th century Ottoman Empire and worked in the Ottoman Palace as a vizier and grand vizier and accepted as an important statesman by the comparison of historical events about Melek Ahmet Pasha written by Evliya Celebi with the other Ottoman Chronics written between 1630-1662 which are active years of Pasha.
