Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of boric acid (H3BO3) by leaf treatment at different doses (0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6% and 0.8%) on the concentration of B in the leaf of the pistachio and olive plants. Research was designed at random blocks, and 40 trees were used as 2 different pistachio (Pistacia vera L. cvs. Uzun and Kırmızı) and 2 different olives (Olea europaea L. cvs. Ayvalık and Gemlik) plants. As a result of the study, it was determined that the application of B fertilizer (H3BO3) from the leaves did not affect the B concentration in the leaves of the olive plant while it was found that B concentration was affected in the pistachio plant at statistically significant level. In addition, it has been found that the application of B fertilizer on the leaves did not affect the concentration of other elements in the leaves at statistically significant level. In addition, a weak positive correlation was found between B and Mn, Fe and N and Zn and Fe concentrations in leaves of pistachio plant. The negative correlation was found between Mn and K, Fe and N, and a weak positive correlation was found between Zn and Fe concentrations in the leaves of olive plant.
