Abstract (EN)

This study was performed in the vineyards of Umurbey Winery, which were established in Yazır neighborhood of Tekirdag city (40°55' 38.05'' N; 27°25' 22.85'' E, altitude: 200 m. a.s.l.) in the course of 2013 vegetation period. In the research, it was benefited from 19-year-old grapevines, which were cordon trained and grafted onto 5 BB grapevine rootstock. In the experiment, salicylic acid and 5-chlorosalicylic acid from chemical elicitors that activate the plant's defenses were used at two different periods (I. Time: Pre-verasion period and II. Time: Post-verasion period) and four different dozes (0; 0,75; 1,5 and 3,0 mM). At the end of study, it was determined that both elicitors had various effects on physical (berry and bunch properties) and chemical properties. In terms of application time, it was seen that II. Time (7 day before version, 7 day after version and 14 day after version) had a more positive effects on examined criteria than I. Time (14 day before version, 7 day before version and 7 day after version) in the research. In terms of application doses, while Control application had more positive effects on chemical composition of grape, 0,75 mM doses of salicylic acid resulted in the best result about phenolic compounds which was an important quality property for wine grape.
