Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research was determine to effect on forage yield and some morphological characters of some soybean (Glycine max L.) variety in harvesting different phenological stages. Five soybean varieties (Yeşilsoy, Traksoy, Yemsoy, Adasoy and Mersoy) were used as material. Four phenological stage in which forage harvests are made; 1- Beginning of flowering (R1), 2- Full flowering (R2), 3- Beginning of pod formation (R3), and 4-Rapid pod formation (R4). The experiments were carried out in summer growing period of 2019 and 2020 years in Demirköy village of Lalapaşa district of Edirne with three replications according to split plot in randomized complete block design. Plant height, branch number/plant, stem thicknees, fresh yield and hay yield were determined in the research. In both years in which the research was conducted, variety, harvest stage and variety x harvest stage interaction in terms of plant height and number of branches were found to be statistically significant. In terms of stem thickness, fresh yield and hay yield, significant differences were determined only between harvest stages in the 1st year. In second year, variety, harvest stage and variety x harvest stage interaction had statistically significant differences. Plant heights of soybean varieties were determined as 65,58 – 74,50 cm in the 1st year and 37,67 – 48,08 cm in the 2nd year. The number of branches was determined between 6,83 – 10,50 in the 1st year and 5,67 – 6,92 in the 2nd year. Stem thicknes was determined as 5,83 – 7,17 mm in the 1st year and 5,17 – 6,33 cm in the 2nd year. Fresh yield was 1.103,33 – 1.450,00 kg/da in the 1st year and 480,92 – 603,83 kg/da in the 2nd year. Hay yield was found to be between 326,42 – 397,00 kg/da in the 1st year and 143,42 – 180,17 kg/da in the 2nd year. As a result; Yemsoy, Traksoy ve Mersoy varieties can be preferred in the cultivation of soybean for forage production without irrigation in the conditions of Lalapasa District of Edirne province, and high forage yield can be obtained from forage harvesting when the pod formation begins stage (R3).
