Abstract (EN)

In this study, different fibers which are produced and used as flame retardent fibers in the market such as meta aramid, para aramid, modacrylic Q, C, E, Viscose Fr, Trevira.Cs were utilized. With the usage of several flame retardant fibers, 24 different blends were created from fibers such as cotton, Tencel A100, wool, Tencel Lf, Nylon filament. Yarns with two different yarn counts were produced from these fiber blends. All physical properties of the yarns such as lineer density (Ne), twist, unevenness, hairiness, strength were tested and examined in accordance with the standards. The test results were compared in two different lineer density, and the results of unevenness, hairiness, strength and elasticity were compared according to fiber type and percentage. Single jersey fabrics were knitted from these yarns and thickness, hardness, fabric weight, number of tufts per inch, air permeability, flame retardancy, LOI, bursting strength, water absorbency tests were carried out. As a result of the study, it has been determined that the yarns containing metaaramid and paraaramid fibers have high hairness values, and it has been observed that the strength of the fabrics in which these fibers are used has increased. It is observed that the air permeability and hydrophilicity properties of fabrics containing viscose FR are high due to their structure. Unlike other synthetic fibers, it has been determined that modacrylic E fiber has a high effect on air permeability, such as viscose Fr. Flame retardant test was applied to all fabrics having different mixing ratios and all fabrics showed good flame retardancy results. KEYWORDS: Flame Retardant, Meta Aramid, Para-Aramid, Modacrylic, Trevira.CS, Tencel A100, LOI
