Abstract (EN)

In this expriment, the effect of different root media and fertilizers on the growth and yield of tomato cultivars grown in a cold greenhouse was investigated. In the experiment, 3 root media, (cocopeat, perlite and pumice), 2 tomato cultivars (M1103F1: plum tomato and Legend: beefsteak tomato) and 2 hydroponic solutions (Department solution and Florida solution) were used. There were 12 factorial combinations and also a soil parcel for each cultivar as a control in the experiment. Accordingly, 14 treatments were arranged in two blocks according to randomized block design. According to the media fruit yield main effect, cocopeat first, perlite second and ponza was in third position. There was no statistically significant difference in fruit yield between the different solutions but florida solution gave earlier yield. Soil control plants yielded the lowest fruit number, fruit weight, marketable fruit number and marketable fruit yield. In terms of the cultivar main effect, fruit number/plant was higher in the plum cultivar than the beefsteak cultivar, but there was no yield (kg/plant) difference between the cultivars. As a result, although in fruit yield order, cocopeat first, perlite second and cocopeat in third position, considering the cost of media, the most suitable medium is the cheapest pumice and then perlite. The unsuitable medium is the most expensive imported cocopeat. Florida nutrient solution should be chosen for an early yield. Keywords: Tomato, cocopeat, perlite, pumice, section solution, florida solution
