Examining the relationship between family climates and childhood happiness-peace memories of individuals with mothers from different generations

The concept of generation, which is widely used today and based on sociological foundations; It is used for groups of people who were born in recent times, witnessed the same events and lived under similar conditions. The general psychological environment formed by the quality of the relationships and the level of interaction in the family is called family climate. Family climate; It offers a cultural perspective on the differences between generations in relationships. The emotions an individual feels when he is with his family are related to what the family climate is like. Positive family climate; While it causes the development of healthy identity and self-confidence, and an increase in the level of commitment to life and satisfaction; negative family climate; It has been found that it causes behavioral problems, school adaptation problems and abuse. In this research, individuals whose mothers are Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y; It was aimed to examine the relationship between the general psychological environment in the family in which they lived with their parents and the memories of happiness they experienced in their childhood. Research; ıt was carried out with the relational screening model, one of the quantitative research methods. The data obtained from a total of 464 participants, 232 men and 232 women, using the snowball sampling method, through the "Family Climate Scale", "Childhood Happiness/Peace Memories Scale" and the "Personal Information Form" created by the researcher, were analyzed has been made. Looking at the research results; It has been observed that childhood memories of happiness and peace are significant predictors of family climate. It was concluded that there was no statistically significant relationship between all variables except cognitive adjustment and mothers generations, and this relationship was low and positive.
