Abstract (EN)
Friction welding is a type of welding in which two materials whether the same of different, rub against each other in certain movements, which causes heat to be generated and results in bonding with diffusion of the materials within each other. In this study, CW004A R240/H065 copper and EN AW-1050A aluminium are welded via direct drive friction welding machine. Different parameters are investigated as how those affect the changes in macrostructure, microstructure, hardness and tensile strength. Also, an analysis of if the tip geometry affects the tensile strength is evaluated. The findings are analyzed, compared with graphics and discussions are made for further studies.
