Abstract (EN)

Today, oral implant applications are highly preferred restoration methods for restoring tooth deficiencies. In oral implant restorations, the emergence profile formed in the periimplant mucosa has gained importance in recent years. In this study, we investigated how thinning of the implant abutment neck affects the fracture strength of materials such as zirconia, lithium disilicate and PEEK in order to provide more place for soft tissue in the implant-abutment junction area. Fort his purpose, as a control group, abutment-crown restorations of transparent zirconia material were prepared on 15 prefabricated titanium abutments with 2mm gingival height by CAD/CAM method. As the test group, 15 abutment-crown restorations that have concave emergence profile, designed and manufactured by CAD/CAM method using zirconia, lithium disilicate and PEEK materials. Samples were subjected to fracture tests on the Universal Test Machine. The results were analysed by finite element analyse method. In our study, it was concluded that PEEK material is the most suitable material that can be used with concave emergence profile design.
