Abstract (EN)
As a result the developing technology and continuous improvements in the design and manufacturing process of endododontic files, Ni-Ti single-file systems which are produced with thermomechanical production techniques have become widespread and thus, it is aimed to complete the shaping without causing operational errors and maintaining the original canal form in a shorter working time. In this study, the shaping abilities of single file systems that work with reciprocating and rotational movements which are produced with different technologies were compared by using 39 S-shaped resin blocks and besides the different working principles, the effect of different production technologies on shaping abilities were examined. 3 groups were formed containing 13 samples each; Reciproc Blue and WaveOne Gold groups working with reciprocating motion and Hyflex EDM group working with rotational motion. Changes in the original canal form, the amount of material removed, the direction and amount of transportation, the rate of centering ratio, shaping errors and preparation times were measured. Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis test were used for statistical analysis of the data. When the results of our study were examined; at the apical region, Hyflex EDM system removed less amount of resin (P <0.001). All three file groups transported internaly at the coronal curvature region but the amount of transportation was the least in Hyflex EDM group (P <0.01). At the coronal curvature region, danger zone formation was observed in 8 samples; 4 in Reciproc Blue and 4 in WaveOne Gold. It was found that the Hyflex EDM system caused less transportation than the other two systems when all three regions combined (P <0.01). Lowest preparation times were found in WaveOne Gold group and highest preparation times were found in Hyflex EDM group (P <0.001).
