Effects of diffrent crop load and summer pruning application on grape yield and qualty parameters of mevlana grape variety (Vitis vinifera L.)

It is seen that there are many application differences in the cultivation and production of Mevlana variety which is accepted as table grape. These differences greatly affect the yield and quality characteristics. Therefore, it is aimed to investigate effects of two dıffrent crop load level (110 cluster/vine and 55 cluster/vine) and four different summer pruning application (1/3 cluster tip reduction, girdling, 1/3 cluster tip reduction + girdling, control) on grape yield and quality parameters of Mevlana grape variety (Vitis vinifera L.) in the study. The study was carried out on 12 year old own rooted Mevlana vineyard, which was established as a rational Pergola in Manisa. In addition, for the analysis of the differences between the applications yield (kg/vine), average cluster weight (g), cluster length-width (cm), cluster skeleton weight (g), cluster skeleton length-width (cm), berry length-width (mm), berry firmness (N), berry removal force (g), number of marketable cluster (number/vine), marketable crop yield (kg/vine), 100 berry weight (g), seed weight (g/100 berry), berry color (L* , a *, b *, Chroma, Hue angle), %TSS (Total soluble solids), pH, TA (Titrable acid amount (g 100ml-1 )) criteria were examined. As a result, girdling via wire applications in 12 criteria within the 23 criteria examined showed the best results. In crop load levels, it is observed that 100 berry weight and Chroma value increase at 55 cluster/vine load, while it decreases the loss of marketable crop yield and cluster numbers compared to 110 cluster/vine. It was found that the yield and marketable crop yield were higher in 110 cluster/vine load. In the Mevlana grape, which is one of the highly yield varieties, it can be suggested to applications girdling by wire with 110 cluster/vine.
