Abstract (EN)

More than a million of people every year in the World die because of suicide which is the tenth reason of death. Moreover, approximately twenty millions of suicide attempts occur each year. Suicide is a belligerence and annihilated attitude inclining towards to self-ego. In other words, suicide is to choose the most effective method for a person who decides to kill himself without any interference. Societies had given various reactions to the suicide in different historical periods. While some societies has adopted and supported the suicide as a right attitude, some other societies has found the suicide unacceptable. The most important factors that have drawn the framework of these reactions are the social approaches and philosophers who designate these approaches. Albert Camus who is one of the most important philosophers in 20th century had been influenced by various philosophical approaches and seen the concept of suicide the basic problem of philosophy. In other words he replaces the suicide concept on the centre of philosophy. Camus asserts that when a man turns into an aporia then he faces to situation of absurd. That is, impossible situations in a man's life reveal the absurd situation and feeling of being in vain. Camus claims that a man may commit suicide or rebel to his situation as a result of his fight with absurd. However he regards the choice of suicide as dishonesty. Despite a man becomes happy with death, Camus underlines the fact that a man should live his life as much as possible and should struggle to examine the life.
