Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to examine the effect of the science teaching program prepared with a proactive approach, which was developed based on the Self-Determination Theory, on the entrepreneurial skills, academic achievement and astronomy attitudes of secondary school students. This study, which examines the effect of the science teaching program prepared with a proactive approach based on the Self-Determination Theory in order to improve the entrepreneurial skills of secondary school students, is a quasi-experimental research. In the study, "quasi-experimental model with pretest posttest control group" was used. The study group consists of sixth grade students studying in a secondary school in the city center of Adana in the 2022-2023 academic year. Of the 98 volunteer students participating in the study, 53 constitute the experimental group and 45 constitute the control group. In the study, a three-week intervention program prepared for the Solar System and Eclipses Unit was applied to the experimental group students. In the control group, the method of teaching by presentation including the MEB book, EBA videos and applications was applied. Independent groups t-test was applied to the averages of the measurement results obtained in order to examine the changes in the experimental and control groups after the 3-week program. As a result of the research, it was found that the science teaching program prepared with a proactive approach, which was developed based on the Self-Determination Theory, increased the entrepreneurial skills and academic achievement of secondary school students, but did not affect the students' attitudes towards astronomy.
