Investigation of the impact of film tourism activities on local public: A case of Sivrihisar

The main purpose of the study is to examine the effects of film tourism activities on the local people. In this direction, the literature was examined and the research model was developed. In order to test the model, the local people living in Sivrihisar were reached in the application carried out between November 2022 and February 2023 and a total of 473 people were surveyed. 27 questionnaires that were found to be incomplete or incorrectly filled were not included in the analysis and 446 questionnaires were evaluated. In line with the data, factor analysis was performed to determine the validity of the scales used. After the factor analysis was done, SEM was used to determine the relationships between the variables. According to the results of the analysis, it has been seen that personal benefit has a significant effect on tourism support and satisfaction, positive socio-cultural effects of tourism, and positive socio-economic effects of tourism. In addition, it was concluded that positive socio-cultural effects of tourism, positive socio-economic effects of tourism and negative socio-cultural effects of tourism have a significant effect on tourism support and satisfaction. One of the most important contributions of the study is that it considers the variables presented within the scope of the effects of film tourism in a single model, unlike the general tourism effects. Carrying out activities with greater involvement of the local community in order to protect and develop the cultural values of the community, to obtain more personal benefits by providing the right planning and management; In order to minimize the negative cultural effects of tourism and to maximize its positive effects, it has been suggested to increase awareness, education and local participation.
