Abstract (EN)
Strategic goals for product development in the banking and finance sector lead to the emergence of important elements that shape global money markets and trigger new technological developments depending on this process. Fintech and artificial intelligence applications are periodic products created technologically by global money markets. Adaptation to such technological developments affects the application and adaptation processes of these products, depending on the technological infrastructure of the countries. In this process, banks can be optimized and new products can be created by using various infrastructure services such as application programming interfaces under a common strategy with financial technology companies. In this context, in this study, the effects of Fintech and artificial intelligence applications, which have recently become widespread in the financial system in the Turkish economy, and the mobile banking and internet banking applications and transaction volumes developed in this context on investment decisions and thus on banking profits will be analyzed. Return on assets ratios, non-financial transactions, money transfers, transaction volume, credit card transaction volume, foreign exchange transaction volume and mutual funds transaction volume data for mobile and internet banking are analyzed with ARDL bounds test for the quarterly period 2013:Q1-2023:Q4. According to the analysis findings of the study, it is concluded that the relevant independent variables are long-run cointegrated with the banking asset ratio.
