Abstract (EN)

The ability of individuals to perform their daily financial transactions, to display a healthy attitude in financial behaviors such as budgeting, investment and saving and to live in prosperity is closely related to the concept of financial literacy. The low level of financial literacy causes the individual to make wrong decisions in financial matters and the results of these decisions affect the individual from its personal life to its family life and even to its social life. For this reason, it is important that financial literacy levels are high in terms of the welfare of university students who will be taken into the business life with the end of education. In this study, it is aimed to determine financial literacy levels, budgeting and saving behaviors of 3rd and 4rd grade students of Manisa Celal Bayar University Department of Business Administration. In the study, non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H test were applied according to Kolmogorov-Smirnov test while determining the financial literacy levels of the students. According to the results obtained from the study, it is determined that the financial literacy levels of students' are high. It was found that the students' financial literacy levels differed according to variables such as age and class, behaviors such as budgeting and compliance and paying the debt on time but did not differ according to gender, monthly income of the individual and family, credit card usege.
