Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, it is aimed to examine the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic process on international trade. Across epidemics, the COVID-19 pandemic and other major pandemics are explained by their economic consequences. After clarifying foreign trade, the birth and development of trade, import and export concepts are explained. The factors affecting foreign trade are explained in sub-headings. In the study, the relationship between the BIST100 Index and the import, export, brent oil and currency basket index was examined with the Carrion-i Silvestre Unit Root Test (2009), which allows multiple structural breaks. Maki Co-Integration Test (2012), which allows multiple structural breaks, and FMOLS, a long-term coefficient estimator, were used to observe the effects of the pandemic process that the whole world is facing. After the steps taken, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on international trade and the outputs obtained after the analysis are explained in the conclusion section.
