Abstract (EN)
Topology optimization is an effective technique for creating optimal designs that are impossible to achieve using traditional optimization techniques. While this technique is widely used for the designs subjected to static loads, it can also be used for optimization of the designs subjected to compliant designs that have challenging and complicated dynamic characteristics. In this study, the topology optimization method has been applied to a shock absorber yoke which is one of the most crucial components of an automobile. The component has been analyzed considering the side loads from suspension spring, top mount and lower bushing, additionally the annealing effect of lower tube end and 2.0 mm misalignment of lower bushing in longitudinal (X) direction. Then, the results have been visualized using augmented reality on a platform (i.e. tablet or phone) that supports this application using augmented reality. Visualizing the results in augmented reality on the physical component provides a new approach to the development of designs.
