Abstract (EN)
Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the perceptions of boredom in leisure time, leisure time satisfaction, exercise addiction levels and related factors of fitness exercisers. Method: The data were delivered to the participants face-to-face and voluntary participation was taken as a basis. A total of 440 fitness exercise participants were reached and 5 questionnaire forms were excluded from the evaluation because they showed outlier values. After the forms showing outlier values were removed, a total of 435 questionnaire forms were evaluated. In the first part of the measurement tools used in the study, the 8-question demographic information form prepared by the researcher, in the second part, the questionnaire developed by Lichenstein et al. (2018) and adapted into Turkish by Dokuzoğlu et al. (2022), the third part consists of the Perception of Boredom in Leisure Time Scale developed by So-Ahola and Weissinger (1990) by So-Ahola and Weissinger (1990) by Kara et al. (2014) and the last part consists of the Leisure Time Satisfaction Scale developed by Beard and Ragheb (1980), revised as 24 items by Idyll Arbor, Inc. (1991) and adapted into Turkish by Gökçe and Orhan (2011). The findings obtained in the study were evaluated with SPSS 25.0 package program at 95% confidence interval. In our research, the suitability of the data for normal distribution was evaluated with kurtosis and skewness coefficients. These values were found to be between ±2 and it was determined that the data were normally distributed (George & Malley, 2003). Cronbach alpha coefficient calculations, frequency and percentage calculations, Independent Sample T Test for descriptive analysis of binary variables, One-Way Anova Test for more than two variables and Pearson correlation analysis were applied to calculate the relationship between dependent and independent variables. Findings: As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there were significant differences between age, gender, education level, occupation, sports background, weekly frequency of doing sports, weekly free time duration, the activities you do most often in your free time and perceptions of boredom in free time, free time satisfaction, exercise addiction. Conclusion: It was determined that the participants' perception of boredom in leisure time was at a medium level, their level of leisure time satisfaction was at a high level, and their level of exercise addiction was at a high level. A low level significant and positive relationship was found between leisure time satisfaction and exercise addiction. A moderately significant and negative relationship was found between leisure satisfaction and leisure boredom. A moderately significant and positive relationship was found between leisure satisfaction and leisure satisfaction. A low significant and positive relationship was found between the perception of boredom in leisure time and exercise addiction.
